Dave Sidhu is a husband, father, community builder, and proud lifelong resident of Abbotsford.
First elected to Abbotsford City Council in the 2021 by-election and re-elected in the 2022 general election, Dave is proud to serve the community that has shaped his life. As he seeks re-election, he remains committed to listening to residents, protecting the public interest, and working toward a strong, inclusive, and prosperous future for Abbotsford.
Born and raised in Abbotsford, Dave now has the privilege of raising his own family here with his wife, Ranjna, and their two young daughters. His deep connection to the city drives his commitment to making Abbotsford an even better place to live, work, raise a family, and build a business.
Professionally, Dave serves as General Manager of The Patrika Media, a bilingual newspaper serving British Columbia’s diverse communities. His work in media, business, and community engagement has given him a broad understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing local residents, families, organizations, and employers.
Before and during his time on Council, Dave built an extensive record of community service. He has contributed his time, leadership, fundraising experience, and governance expertise to numerous local boards, committees, charitable organizations, and community initiatives.
